Product Description
Sodium citrate is the simply sodium salt of citric acid, a weak organic acid that is naturally found in citrus fruits. Sodium citrate is produced when citric acid is crystallized with of caustic Soda. It is commonly used in foods, beverages and as a buffering and emulsifying agent.
Trisodium Citrate is a white, crystalline powder with a saline, mild tart flavor. It is mildly basic and used with citric acid to prepare compatible buffers.
Sodium Citrate is non-toxic chemical and chemically stable in ambient temperatures. It is considered as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) by USFDA.
